Abstract |
The purpose of this project is to outline the steps developed in the Kootenay TSO to perform non-status road inventory and risk, hazard, and consequence analysis for the West Kootenay operation areas of Arrow, Boundary, and TFL23. These steps were developed using the Procedure for Risk Rating Roads TFL 23 document developed by Pope and Talbot for TFL23 in 2006 (Appendix A). Customizations and circumstance specific adjustments to the procedure were undertaken in consultation with Phil MacDonald, RFT, Engineering Specialist with BCTS. In addition, significant contributions and expertise were provided by the TSO Field Technicians, Practices Foresters, and GIS staff in addition to input from IPaC professionals. The process involves the extensive use of ArcGIS, Microsoft Access and Excel, and Cengea (GENUS). | ||||||
