Abstract
This document details a project undertaken to evaluate if areas deemed as potential Marbled Murrelet nesting habitat were in fact being used by the birds. Areas surveyed included the Corrigan, Sarita, Henderson, Sproat, and Great Central lake landscape units. All areas but one recorded at least one detection during the three months of surveys, however only four of the areas reported occupied detections. The document concludes that these occupied areas, Frey Lake, Terror Creek, Corrigan and Sarita Lake, are all areas of relatively high use by the Marbled Murrelet, and that the other areas were not in high use for various reasons including geography and weather.
