Abstract |
Roads treated as part of this project were determined to be moderate, high or very high risk with respect to resources at stake. Priority roads were constructed between the late - 1960's and mid-1980's. Environmental maintenance was prescribed to address issues on 4.0km of road with permanent deactivation on 2.4 km of road. Hazards included uncontrolled drainage and oversteepened fillslopes. Several landslides into fish streams and onto Forest Service Roads had resulted. Sections of roads R146 and 80A traverse areas with a moderate to high likelihood of landslides. No maintenance or deactivation work had been done on any road prior to this project. | ||||||
