Abstract |
This guide briefly outlines the principles and methods of the ecosystem classification system, stressing the two primary areas of emphasis within the classification, the biogeoclimatic (zones, subzones, variants), and the ecosystematic (ecosystem associations and their phases and variations). It summarizes the environmental characteristics of the Northern drier maritime subzone of the Coastal Western Hemlock Zone (CWHf) and two of its variants, a lower (CWHf1) and a higher elevation (CWHf2) variant. | ||||||||
