Abstract
The Ministry of Environment, Land and Parks has been conducting baseline studies of the potential impacts of urban and rural development on Saanich Inlet. The primary objective of the Saanich inlet Study (SIS) is to determine the sensitivities of the inlet environment and its capacity to assimilate contaminants and marine habitat disturbances without environmental degradation. To supplement the existing information in the report Water Use Inventory & Water Quality Assessment Aquatic Science Consultants Ltd. collected water and sediment samples form Saanich Inlet. This report presents the methodologies used and the results from this survey.
