Abstract |
The mountain pine beetle (MPB) epidemic in central British Columbia has affected approximately 14.5 million hectares of lodgepole pine. Much of the dead and dying pine occurs on landscapes facing communities, in recreation areas, and along travel corridors. As the pine is attacked and dies, significant changes to the colour of the forest landscape can occur. There are varying opinions as to what the public thinks about this change. | ||||||||
