Abstract |
Working Smarter, the theme for the GIS' 92 Symposium describes three major challenges faced by Canada's forest sector: increasing international competition, competing demands for the forest resource and public demands for more environmentally neutral forest management. GIS forestry applications complement this response by providing a tool to improve forest resource management planning, and allowing for informed resolution of resource - use conflicts. GIS' 92 is one of a series of symposia that have been held in Western Canada. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
