Abstract |
This report is divided into 3 chapters: 1) A quantitative analysis of factors affecting the use of avalanche chutes by grizzly bears using data from the West Slopes bear study, centered on Golden, B.C.; 2) A test of an expert-based model, which was an interim management tool developed for Meadow Creek Cedar?s Kootenay Lake operations. The expert-based model was tested in the West Slopes study area with grizzly bear telemetry data.; 3) A brief description of avalanche chute mapping activities done during the 2006-07 fiscal year, occurring in the Lake Revelstoke Valley, and in the Lardeau valley near Meadow Creek Cedar?s operations. prepared by Robert Serrouya and Gary Pavan. | ||||||||||
