Abstract
Several small land slides and washouts have blocked access to an area identified by the local community advisory group (CAG) as an important recreation area. The road appears to have been constructed between 20 and 30 years ago and is no longer needed for timber harvesting. Previous FIA LBIP work has been done along this road to maintain 4x4 access to these sites. That work included building a driveable ford to maintain four-wheel drive access. An on-site inspection and prescription for this work was developed by a P. Eng. The prescription includes the following activies: removal of slide debris from road prism, construction of additional driveable fords, deepening of shallow cross ditches, construction of additional cross ditches, and a minor amount of fill retrieval.
