Abstract
The primary objective of this project is to identify and carry out a tactical review of priority areas for incremental treatments, primarily density control, within the Kispiox and Cranberry TSAs. This information will guide forest managers charged with designing stand level prescriptions and administering juvenile spacing treatment operations. The project includes four main tasks as follow: 1. To identify from existing silviculture information records Free Growing stands suitable for spacing; 2. To carry out air reconnaissance assessments of these areas to confirm their suitability for spacing; 3. To assess vehicle access limitations for suitable blocks; and, 4. To provide recommendations for stands with moderate and high juvenile spacing potential.
