| Reasons: | This species in found within a relatively limited area and habitat within southeast BC. Within this area it is encountered relatively regularly in appropriate habitat. |
| Range | |
| Range Extent: | F = 20,000-200,000 square km |
| Range Extent Comments: | The known range extent is approximately 29,000 kmē in southeast BC, from Sicamous and Revelstoke areas, south to Christina Lake and Eastport and Moyie River (Ovaska et al 2019; INaturalist; accessed 17 October 2024; GBIF; accessed 17 October 2024). |
| Area of Occupancy (km2): | U = Unknown |
| Occurrences & Population | |
| Number of Occurrences: | CD = 21 - 300 |
| Comments: | There are 63 observations in the appropriate area in iNaturalist (accessed 17 October 2024), 39 mapped in Ovaska et al. (2019) and Forsyth estimated "greater than 45" (2014). Given that they are found relatively frequently when searched for it is possible that there are more than 80 occurrences, thus the range estimate. |
| Number of Occurrences with Good Viability / Ecological Integrity: | Rank Factor not assessed |
| Number of Occurrences Appropriately Protected & Managed: | Rank Factor not assessed |
| Population Size: | U = Unknown |
| Threats (to population, occurrences, or area affected) | |
| Degree of Threat: | U = Unknown |
| Comments: | The threats to this species have not been quantified or assessed, however within the areas where found disturbance to the forested slopes could be via logging, mining, recreation or development. Extreme drought may also be a threat. |
| Trend (in population, range, area occupied, and/or condition of occurrences) | |
| Short-Term Trend: | U = Unknown |
| Long-Term Trend: | U = Unknown |
| Other Factors | |
| Intrinsic Vulnerability: | Rank Factor not assessed |
| Environmental Specificity: | BC=Narrow to moderate. |
| Comments: | This species has been predominantly in the ICH (Interior Coastal Hemlock) (Ovaska et al. 2019), specifically mainly on forested, rocky slopes (Nekola et al. 2011). Found in relatively undisturbed forests (Forsyth 2014). |
