| Global Range Comment: | Known from northern portions of Europe and Asia. In North America, probably only in the range of the moose. It has been collected presumably in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Michigan, Ontario, Quebec, Labrador, Alaska, and Maine (Crum and Anderson 1981). Also in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick (Ireland 1982). The moss is also known from Manitoba and British Columbia and is extirpated in New York. | ||||||||||
