Global Habitat Comments: Mostly bogs, also wet tundra and moist alpine meadows and seeps. (Layberry et al., 1998; Opler, 1999).
Food Habits: Herbivore:Immature
Nectarivore: Adult
Global Food Habits Comments: Larvae reported to feed on Polygonum viviparum, Viola and Salix; may be more specialized in a given locality. Adult Food: Nectar from flowers including Labrador-tea and goldenrod (Lotts and Naberhaus 2017).
