Global Range Comment: Streptopus amplexifolius occurs in the Temperate Northern Hemisphere, including Greenland and Labrador, Canada west to Minnesota in the United States, south in the mountains and disjunctly to North Carolina and in the west from Alaska and Kamchatka, Russia south to New Mexico and Arizona, in Japan, and in the Alps in Europe (Weakley and the Southeastern Flora Team 2023).
