| Taxonomy Comments: | Varieties gigantea, oregonensis no longer recognized; intergrade with the typical form across the range (B. Allen, BFNA 2010). Anderson et al. (1990) include Fontinalis patula in F. antipyretica var. antipyretica. Ireland et al. (1987) recognize F. patula as distinct, but list its only report for Canada as a literature report from British Columbia. |
