| Global Habitat Comments: | Found on clay or silt of recently denuded banks of streams, sometimes on landslides or steep roadcuts (Crum and Anderson 1981). At low altitudes (Lawton 1971). In Great Britain, a colonist of newly bared reservoir mud and acid clayey banks by streams and rivers, sometimes forming extensive mats. It has also been found on clay banks by roads, on china-clay waste, and on a muddy farm track (Hill et al 1994). | ||||||||||

| Global Range Comment: | In North America, known from Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington, British Columbia (extirpated), Alberta, Quebec, and Northwest Territories. Known elsewhere from Finland, Scandinavia, Germany, Russia, England, and Japan (Crum and Anderson 1981). Very rare in Asia, known in Siberia from Tobolsk and the Yenisey region, and in the Far East from Sakhalin (Hill et al (1994). | ||||||||||
